Hawaiian Pizza


Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

  • 1¾ to 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 envelope (7g) instant yeast (RapidRise)
  • 1½ teaspoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ⅔ cup very warm water (120° to 130°F)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

For Toppings:

  • ½ to 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 ounces Canadian bacon or ham, diced
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 can (8 ounces) pineapple, drained and diced

Instructions

  1. Make the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
    • Heat water to between 120°F and 130°F. Mix it with olive oil and pour into dry ingredients.
    • Stir until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 4 minutes until smooth.
    • Cover and let rest for about 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  3. Shape the Dough:
    • Stretch or roll out the dough to fit a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  4. Add Sauce and Toppings:
    • Spread pizza sauce over the dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
    • Evenly distribute diced ham/bacon and pineapple over the cheese.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake on the lowest oven rack for about 12 to 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
  6. Serve:
    • Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
