Deluxe Breakfast Platter


Ingredients

  • Eggs: 4 large eggs
  • Bacon or Sausage: 4 strips of bacon or 2 sausage links
  • Hash Browns: 1 cup, shredded or diced
  • Toast: 2 slices of your choice (white, whole grain, etc.)
  • Cheese: 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your preference)
  • Vegetables: Optional (bell peppers, onions, tomatoes)
  • Butter: For cooking and spreading on toast
  • Salt and Pepper: To taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon/Sausage:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, or cook the sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Prepare Hash Browns:
    • In the same skillet, add a little butter. Once melted, add the hash browns. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the Eggs:
    • In another pan, melt a bit of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, scrambled, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Toast the Bread:
    • Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown. Spread with butter.
  5. Assemble the Platter:
    • On a plate, arrange the hash browns, bacon/sausage, eggs, and toast. Sprinkle cheese over the eggs while they are still hot to melt slightly.
  6. Garnish (Optional):
    • Add any vegetables you like on the side or on top for extra flavor.
