Deluxe Breakfast Platter
Ingredients
- Eggs: 4 large eggs
- Bacon or Sausage: 4 strips of bacon or 2 sausage links
- Hash Browns: 1 cup, shredded or diced
- Toast: 2 slices of your choice (white, whole grain, etc.)
- Cheese: 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your preference)
- Vegetables: Optional (bell peppers, onions, tomatoes)
- Butter: For cooking and spreading on toast
- Salt and Pepper: To taste
Instructions
- Cook the Bacon/Sausage:
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, or cook the sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare Hash Browns:
- In the same skillet, add a little butter. Once melted, add the hash browns. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Eggs:
- In another pan, melt a bit of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, scrambled, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
- Toast the Bread:
- Toast the slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown. Spread with butter.
- Assemble the Platter:
- On a plate, arrange the hash browns, bacon/sausage, eggs, and toast. Sprinkle cheese over the eggs while they are still hot to melt slightly.
- Garnish (Optional):
- Add any vegetables you like on the side or on top for extra flavor.
