Arkansas Fried Bologna Sandwich Recipe



Ingredients

  • For the Sandwich
    • 4 slices of bologna (thick-cut)
    • 2 slices of white bread (or your choice of bread)
    • 1 tablespoon butter (for frying)
    • Mustard or mayonnaise (to taste)
    • Optional toppings: cheese slices, lettuce, tomato, pickles

Instructions

  1. Fry the Bologna:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Add the bologna slices to the skillet. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned and slightly crispy. You can make a small slit in the edge of each slice to prevent curling.
  2. Toast the Bread:
    • While the bologna is frying, you can toast the bread in another pan or in a toaster until golden brown.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Spread mustard or mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
    • Place the fried bologna on one slice of bread. If using, add cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles as desired.
    • Top with the second slice of bread.
  4. Serve:
    • Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve hot.
