Ingredients

  • Kielbasa Sausage: 1 Polska kielbasa (or smoked Polish sausage)
  • Bun: 1 hoagie roll or a sturdy sandwich bun
  • Coleslaw: Store-bought or homemade (about 1 cup)
  • French Fries: About 1 cup (frozen or homemade)
  • BBQ Sauce: Your choice (around 2-3 tablespoons)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fries:
    • Cook the French fries according to the package instructions if using frozen fries, or fry them fresh until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Kielbasa:
    • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil.
    • Slice the kielbasa lengthwise without cutting all the way through, then open it up and place it in the skillet with the cut side down.
    • Cook for about 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and heated through

  3. Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Place the cooked kielbasa in the hoagie bun.
    • Top generously with coleslaw.
    • Add the crispy French fries on top of the coleslaw.
    • Drizzle BBQ sauce over everything to taste.
  4. Serve:
