Florida Camel Rider Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients
- For the Sandwich
- 1 large pita bread (or two smaller ones)
- 4 ounces lunch meat (such as turkey, ham, or roast beef)
- 2 ounces sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons Italian dressing
- Optional: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, or other desired toppings
Instructions
- Prepare the Pita:
- If using a large pita, cut it in half to create pockets. If using smaller pitas, keep them whole.
- Layer the Ingredients:
- Inside each pita pocket, layer the lunch meat and cheese. Add any additional toppings like lettuce or tomatoes as desired.
- Add Dressing:
- Drizzle Italian dressing inside the pita over the meat and cheese.
- Serve:
- Enjoy the sandwich cold or warm it slightly in a toaster oven for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
